2. PLATFORM NATURE AND ROLE

• Pet.ug is a digital marketplace connecting pet sellers, buyers, service providers, and veterinarians.
• Pet.ug does not own, breed, sell, or directly handle animals unless specifically noted as “Pet.ug Verified Sale.”
• We are not a party to sales, adoptions, or veterinary service contracts between users.
• All transactions and communications are conducted at the user’s own discretion and risk.

3. GENERAL INFORMATION DISCLAIMER

• Content on Pet.ug, including listings, articles, and veterinary information, is for informational purposes only.
• Pet.ug makes no guarantees regarding:
• The accuracy or completeness of user-provided information.
• The health, suitability, or availability of animals or products.
• The conduct or credentials of users, breeders, or veterinarians.
• Information from third parties does not represent medical advice from Pet.ug.

4. VETERINARY AND MEDICAL DISCLAIMER

• Veterinary information provided via Pet.ug is general and not a substitute for professional consultation.
• Pet.ug does not employ veterinarians and is not responsible for medical outcomes.
• Users must seek independent veterinary advice before purchasing, breeding, or transferring pets.
• Pet.ug assumes no responsibility for injury, illness, or death resulting from reliance on health content.

5. TRANSACTION AND DELIVERY RISKS

Users acknowledge and agree that:

• Pet.ug does not inspect or guarantee the condition of animals or goods listed.
• Transport of animals involves regulatory and welfare risks managed solely by buyer and seller.
• We are not liable for delays, injury, or loss during transport.
• Independent verification and inspection are recommended before transactions.

6. PAYMENT AND FINANCIAL DISCLAIMER

• Pet.ug uses secure third-party processors for payments.
• We are not a financial institution and do not provide insurance or credit.
• Users accept risks of chargebacks, fraud, or processor failures.
• Pet.ug’s maximum liability for financial issues is limited to its commission from the transaction.

7. EXTERNAL LINKS AND THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

• Pet.ug may link to third-party sites or services for convenience.
• We do not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for third-party content or practices.
• Users must review third-party terms before engagement.

8. WARRANTIES AND REPRESENTATIONS

Pet.ug provides its Platform “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, data accuracy, or immunity from cyber threats. All implied warranties are disclaimed to the extent permitted by law.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

• Pet.ug is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from use of the Platform.
• This includes loss of profits, goodwill, or animal injury.
• Total liability is limited to the total fees paid to Pet.ug within 12 months before the claim.

10. USER ASSUMPTION OF RISK

• Pet trading and ownership inherently involve risks (illness, aggression, or loss).
• Buyers, sellers, and vets are independent and responsible for their actions.
• Pet.ug cannot guarantee animal temperament, breed, or health.

11. DATA AND PRIVACY RISKS

• Despite strong encryption, digital systems carry inherent cyber risks.
• Users share data voluntarily and assume reasonable online risk.

12. LEGAL COMPLIANCE

• Users must comply with Uganda’s Animal Welfare laws, DPPA 2019, and CITES regulations.
• Noncompliance may result in suspension, reporting, or legal action.

13. FORCE MAJEURE

Pet.ug is not liable for delays or failures due to events beyond its control, including natural disasters, pandemics, power failures, or cyberattacks.

14. INDEMNITY

Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pet.ug and its affiliates from claims arising from violations, false listings, or user misconduct.

15. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

• This Policy is governed by Ugandan law.
• Disputes will be handled by courts in Kampala, Uganda.
• Users should attempt resolution through Pet.ug support first.

16. AMENDMENTS

Pet.ug may modify this Policy for legal or operational reasons. Continued use after updates indicates acceptance of the new terms.
